2026-2027 School Calendar

Beginning in July 2026, Lodestar Academy will transition to a balanced school year calendar, sometimes called a year-round schedule.

Students will still attend the same number of school days as they would on a traditional school calendar. The days are simply spread out differently, with a shorter summer break and longer breaks built into the school year.

This schedule is designed to reduce the long gap in learning that often happens over summer, give students more regular time to rest and reset, and help prevent burnout during the school year. For many students, especially those who thrive with consistency, a balanced calendar can make the school year feel more manageable, more predictable, and more sustainable.
